Recycling Operations
PMI’s "GREEN" Recycling Operations - THE URBAN QUARRYPatuxent Materials, Inc. has been at the forefront of recycling in the Baltimore metro area and continues to offer recycling of broken concrete, brick, block and asphalt for reuse on construction and highway jobs throughout the State of Maryland. As one of the first and largest producers of recycled concrete and asphalt products in Maryland, with several locations in the Baltimore area, we offer area contractors rubble disposal for concrete, brick, block and asphalt materials. We offer various sized finished recycled aggregate materials, which have a greater yield than crushed stone, and are approved for use by all local jurisdictions.
Our aggregate recycling facilities are vital in maintaining recycling programs that are being implemented throughout the State of Maryland and the United States of America, which include the LEED® program and other Green Management Programs. The LEED® program is a Green Building recycling program which implements documentation of materials being recycled, including the percentage and type of materials being recycled throughout the construction process. Typically 100% of the raw material brought into our facilities can be recycled, including raw material which is crushed into various sizes for reuse and any metals throughout the raw material are also separated and recycled at an off site facility. Patuxent Materials, Inc. also offers a contract crushing and processing services for on-the-job recycling projects. By utilizing portable crushing and screening equipment, with a variety of crushers, screens and heavy support equipment, we are capable of moving to select job sites to process recycled products to meet customers’ specifications.
